About Me

Hi, I'm Cecilia

My name is Cecilia Guzmán Valdivia, and I am a registered osteopath with the Spanish Professional Association of Osteopaths (MOCOE), registration number MOCOE 500.

I work with people who want to relieve discomfort, regain mobility, and better understand their body’s needs through personalized, compassionate, and respectful hands-on treatment.

My practice is located in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.

My Approach to Work

In my view, every person is different. Two people may experience pain in the same area, yet require a completely different approach.

That’s why, before I begin, I take the time to listen to the reason for the visit, learn about the relevant medical history, and assess the body’s range of motion.

I don't just focus on the area where the discomfort is felt. I look at how the different parts of the body are connected, which movements are restricted, and what factors may be contributing to the tension or strain.

Based on this assessment, I select the most appropriate techniques for each person and tailor my approach to their comfort level, sensitivity, and physical condition.

Professional and personalized service

I understand that coming in for an appointment because of pain or limited mobility can cause doubts and anxiety. That’s why I think it’s important for the patient to feel heard, informed, and at ease throughout the entire process.

Before performing a technique, I explain what I'm going to do and why it's being done. During the session, the patient can let me know how they're feeling at any time.

My goal is to provide a professional and compassionate environment characterized by attention, care, and respect.

Education and Professional Commitment

I am a registered member of the Professional Association of Osteopaths of Spain:

Cecilia Guzmán Valdivia
Registration number: MOCOE 500

I am committed to the ongoing study of anatomy, physiology, movement, and manual techniques, with the goal of providing safe care tailored to each patient.

What can you expect from the first session?

The first consultation includes:

  • a conversation about the reason for your visit;
  • review of relevant background information;
  • assessment of posture and mobility;
  • the use of manual techniques tailored to your specific case;
  • simple recommendations when needed.

If, during the assessment, I determine that the situation requires medical attention or evaluation by another healthcare professional, I will clearly let you know.

My goal isn't to apply the same protocol to everyone, but to understand what your body needs right now and to provide you with personalized support.

If you're experiencing pain, tension, stiffness, or difficulty moving freely, we can start with an evaluation.
